The Loft at the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok is Bangkok’s rooftop bar that exudes the romance of Art Nouveau with their drinks inspired by New York City and the legacy of the Old Waldorf Astoria Barbook. Located on top of the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok in Ratchadamri area, this enclosed (meaning there’s no need to brace for the elements here) rooftop bar, of course, boasts expansive views of Bangkok. You can spot the Golden Mount in the Rattanakosin Old Town from here. Apart from all that, their premium refreshing drinks are always the reason to come over. And they are introducing some new drinks as you will see some excerpts in my IGTV above.
Bull & Bear is one floor down from The Loft. It is a stunning place, for real. You will have to be there and take your time. Their menu features grills, accoutrements, soup, salad, desserts (American style), and wonderful cocktails, too. They are welcoming new chef de cuisine Daniel Masters from Australia. Before joining Bull & Bear, Chef Masters worked at the award-winning Rockpool Bar & Grill, one establishment of Neil Perry’s Rockpool Dining Group.
Chef Masters created some new dishes featured also in this video—the Cured Salmon (with pickles, caviar, lemon, chives and country bread), the Seared Hokkaido Scallop (with artichoke, baby heirloom, carrots, shallot, bacon), Bull & Bear’s original lobster bisque, and the main courses of Wagyu beef from David Blackmore’s farm in Australia.
