Recently, I found myself going back to Bangkok Old Town, or the Rattanakosin Island, a lot. I think this is because I have come full circle, and my accumulative readings brought new lights to things I grew up with. So, here I am, trying to get things nice and easy for fellow travellers who are visiting Bangkok, Thailand. Hope you have fun and get the most out of your days here in town. :D

Above: Hun Luang or Hun Yai or royal puppet theatre. I always fell for something old and marvellous than something new and shiny. A few weeks ago, we were in town, browsing through the National Museum where we occasionally go back just to collect whatever we had missed the previous visits. Found out that the Assarawinitchai Hall and complex which had been under renovation is now complete with new arrangements of the beautiful exhibits. We have always dreaded Bangkok’s nasty ridiculous traffic that always holds us back from going places like we actually wanted to. But after some successful planning, here we are, getting the most out of each day by grouping together the places that we want to do and do it all in one whole day. So the whole of our last Saturday went like this: morning at this gorgeous Bangkhunprom Palace, lunching at Krua Apsorn, and come back to Bank of Thailand’s...
(TH/EN) To me, there are two things in the world that would NEVER go out of style: money and knowledge. I was in my sophomore year, my father allowed me to drive to school for the first time. One condition though, was that each evening, I was to pick him up at his work. My university was on Henri Dunant Road, his office on Silom. Usually, he would get off work late, and strangely, instead of going window shopping at the MBK mall like most of my peers, I would rather be sitting around, doing my homework and reading at his office’s vast library. The waiting was only for a couple of hours a day, but the result of being surrounded by books and...
